Dresden Park Railway conditions of use

We ask you to read and follow the Dresden park railway conditions of use as supplied to the palace management company "Schlösser und Gärten Dresden".

Conditions of travel

Dresden park railway is a private railway. We are not obliged to accept all passengers. Passengers with reservations will be given seats first.

Passenger's behaviour

You may only enter the platform area with a valid ticket.
We ask you to follow any instructions given by the service personnel.
Children under six may only travel when accompanied Guests who are responsible for children must fulfil these obligations.
Standing or changing seats during the journey, putting arms out, leaning out or throwing objects from the train are not allowed.
Passengers are forbidden from operating any facilities necessary to operation or the prevention of accidents. Whilst the train is in motion the doors must be kept closed and the security chain kept closed in the open carriages.
The emergency brake must only be operated in situations of impending danger. Any infringements may incur damages charges. Any disruption to safety or order and any damages to the carriages or railway will result in prosecution.

Tickets

Tickets are valid for just one journey on the date specified. If the journey is interrupted, tickets are no longer valid. Tickets must be kept safe until the destination train station has been left, and must be shown whenever requested. Passengers without a valid ticket will be obliged to pay double the highest-price ticket.

Prices

The valid tariffs are displayed at the ticket counters of the train stations. Children under two travel for free

Liability

Passengers travel on the park railway at their own risk. We accept no liability for damages where there was no intent or gross negligence.
We accept no liability for passenger's personal belongings, in particular in cases of theft, damage or loss.

Transport of belongings and animals

Passengers may not bring large or bulky items. Pushchairs, children's bicycles may only be brought on the instructions of the service personnel in the appropriate compartment. Dogs must be muzzled and on a leash.
No claims to compensation recognised

Alterations to the timetable caused by transport restrictions, disruptions to operations or interruptions to the journey or a lack of space give no grounds for compensation claims. We reserve the right to refuse passage to any passenger who contravenes the conditions of use of the park railway.

Complaints

Complaints or claim against Dresden park railway must be made immediately to "Schlösser und Gärten Dresden" palace management in writing, giving the complaint, date and time.
